sidekick
I've made it to the farm by Nelson, BC. I'll be spending a couple of weeks here before heading back up north - hoping to reach Alaska around the new year....
The two guys along with about 40 other animals are keeping me company till then...
Yoho National Park
Elisabeth Parker hut, under the full moon. Hiked in with most of my equipment, two bags of dried food, and "Trout Fishing in America". Didn't get any reading done. Spent most of the evening staring tired into the fire. The moon rose over the mountains at 8 pm. Spent an hour outside in the clear night. Nothing moved except a few clouds above. All quiet. Ran out of fire wood by 10. Did some chopping before turing in.
Left the hut early. Outside temp minus 25.

Came in for snowshoes, got great service, good tips and a pair of my own. Claude is the man! Thanks!!
Oh yes - also check out the new headpiece I got for the gal - 100 l sitting comfortably on top... No running out now.
Mid Town
having driven about 12,000 km. since leaving Halifax its time for an oil change. Two days later low temperatures gave car troubles and I was forced back on the lift... Mid Town Service #1 in Calgary!!
