The ride to Lima took longer then anticipated - I'd been in touch with Carolina from Couchsurfing - a Lima based lawyer and bike enthusiast who had agreed to allow me to leave my bike and bags at the her place for the coming week while I was returning to Huaraz with Meghann. Carolina had been kind to offer to pick me up at the bus station and I was glad to find her despite being over an hour late. We drove back to her place and went for a drink and dinner. I was offered to crash on the couch and happily accepted. Had the best rest in a long time...
